We protect as much as we can in life whether it’s our hands from the brisk winter weather, our children from danger and our home from falling apart: so why don’t we protect our home before it is finished?

Construction sites are not exactly stereotyped for the cleanest of environments, in fact when we think construction site, we envision mud, wellington boots and grubby looking workers- so do we really want our house to start its journey plastered with mud.

For every beautiful building that currently exists, there was once a plot of land that resembled somewhat of an inhabitable wasteland, which was fortunately transformed into an architectural treasure with no spec of dirt to be seen to the naked eye.

To think a construction site can be transformed into a fresh artistic masterpiece is hard to comprehend, with all the uninviting bricks and mortar structuring the majority of the home.

From pristine white walls, to glossy resin flooring, a new born house will never look so bright and clean as it will in its first year: however it has always be a wonder to me, how builders manage to get themselves into such filth, but the house into a surreal spotlessness.

Combining key materials such as plaster, wood and mortar you would imagine a home to resemble somewhat of a mud house, the homes that Africans seem to live comfortably in, but don’t exactly seem the most enticing homes to find yourself inhabiting.

The answer however is not as complicated as the construction fortunately. From temporary floor protection to scaffold sheeting, there are protective products that shield every inch of your new home from minor scratches through to crushing contact.

Interior products include floor, surface and window protection as well as corner and handrail protection. External protection solutions include scaffold sheeting and debris netting.

These products are designed to defend your home from almost everything before the scaffolding is removed, and belongings re-homed. Yet some homeowners do not invest their money in such technologies, and mistakably it only leaves room for error and devastation.

Cracks and scratches are associated to old buildings that have not received the best tender loving care over the years, and should not appear in new builds- every new project needs attention to detail and the best level of precision available.

For the best possible start for your home, it may be cost worthy to invest in construction site protection products which are invaluable to brand new music.
